Charlotte Heating Repair
|
| | | | The first thing that people think when they discover they have no heat is “the pilot must be out.”
This is only true if you have an older Charlotte home with original equipment that has a standing pilot. If your home heater is 10-15 years old, more than likely it has electronic ignition.
Standing pilots do go bad, causing your Charlotte heating system to essentially fail. They are called “thermo couplers” and are inexpensive and easy to replace.
Electronic ignition is a little more complicated and only qualified technicians, like those only employed by NASCAIR, should perform such service.
A computer manages most modern furnaces, these computers do go bad and are expensive to replace, (typical cost is between $350 & $550). This cost is dependent on the manufacture.
Dave’s Tips:
- IF: the furnace is in the attic ensure no one has unintentionally turned OFF the switch above the furnace. This is common during the Holiday Season...
- IF: the fan on the furnace doesn’t shut off this can be an indicator that the furnace has a mechanical problem, this is a safety feature and can not be turned off.
Bottom Line: Your Charlotte heating has failed. NASCAIR is standing by, ready to fix it with dependable and honest technicians.
